About Me

I’ve had the privilege of gaining 11+ years of on-the-job graphic design experience. I have always enjoyed graphic arts, even as a teen.  After High School, I took a two-year study program at the Fox Valley Technical College, in Appleton, WI, earning an Associates Degree in graphic design.  Through the years, I’ve been able to explore many vantage points as a Graphic Designer. I’ve worked as a corporate in-house graphic designer in the sign industry, embroidery industry, and for a private manufacturing company. I’ve also enjoyed doing freelance work along the way.

With the support of friends and especially my wonderful wife, Loraine, I decided to realize my dream of starting my own graphic design company, Kiyoko Graphics. I really enjoy working with people, helping turn their vision into reality. And I love learning new things and tackling unique challenges.

Over the last several years, I’m proud to have been the in-house designer for AccuGlide Saws, a private manufacturing company that produces and sells high quality granite fabrication equipment. Within that positive environment, I had the privilege of developing html emails on multiple email platforms, website banners and landing pages, blog posts, product web pages, marketing materials (for digital format and print), instruction manuals, catalogs, brochures, flyers, signage, company and vendor logos.  I also designed, programmed, and executed multi-level automated email campaigns and customer contact retrieval forms using InfusionSoft, a CRM platform, and organized email contact lists for segregated email marketing.

What do I want now?  I want the opportunity to earn the trust and loyalty of my clients the opportunity to grow my own business by working one-on-one with my clients towards a common goal while.  I want to create an environment conducive to my professional and personal growth, with excellent communication as a backbone. And I want to make my family and friends proud.

Story Behind the Name

This is Kiyoko (the one in the middle), our Great Dane.  We saved her as a 3-month old puppy from a really bad situation.  From the very first day we took her in, she melted our hearts and very quickly became part of our family.  She was active and energetic with tons of love and cuddles to give. She absolutely loved to be with us at all times.  She even insisted on sleeping in our bed with us at night, right between my wife and I.

Sadly Kiyoko suffered from kidney failure and despite our every effort to help her get better, she succumbed to her illness and died on November 11, 2018, at 3 years of age.  Some say that when dogs are about to die, they seek isolation. But even in the end, Kiyoko insisted on being with us, being cuddled in our arms. We are still devastated to have lost our loyal and loving pup in such a painful way.

My wife, Loraine, and I decided to name my business after Kiyoko, not only to honor her memory, but because to us, her name is symbol of loyalty. The kind of loyalty Kiyoko Graphics will strive to emulate with all it’s clients.
